Women in Insurance Awards add Investment Professional Award

The Insurance Investment Exchange is delighted to be a media partner for the hugely successful Women in Insurance Awards.

The awards are now in their third year and have attracted over 400 entries every year.

This year the awards have added a new category for Investment Professional of the Year which is open to women who are working for a general insurer or predominantly on a non-life investment portfolio in an investment role, or working for an asset manager or advisory firm where their clients are from the general insurance sector.

“We are delighted to be supporting the Women in Insurance Awards and especially the Investment Professional of the Year category. We know there are many women making great contributions to the investment strategies of insurers and playing a major part in insurers' in-house teams and the asset managers that support them. This will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase their achievements”, said IIE founder Dr Bob Swarup.

Also new this year is a Pandemic Perseverance Award to acknowledge the many ways women in the industry have responded to the enormous pressures created by the Civid-19 pandemic.

The first stage of the awards is for nominations to be submitted by Friday 11 June. All nominees will then be invited to submit entries for the relevant categories. Anyone can submit a nomination, either for themselves, for colleagues or for their firm.

The awards are open to those working for firms operating in the UK's general industry, those who derive a significant proportion of their income as suppliers to the sector or women who work in an insurance or related capacity outside the industry.

Last year the awards were presented virtually but this year they organisers hope to return to a prestigious presentation dinner in London on 16 November.
